ABOUT  US

My name is Gill Heaton and I live in Brandon, Suffolk with my husband Mike. We are both passionate about cats and have for many years owned cats of various breeds. In addition to these we also have two pet geese who are on guard 24 hours a day and 3 fish.

It was whilst I was convalescing from a back operation and becoming bored of too much day time television, I came across the Bengal cat whilst surfing the website. I was so intrigued by this most beautiful cat that I sought out and purchased my first kitten. I was so enamoured with the breed it led me to purchase further cats. It was about this time that I decided to breed them and again proceeded to research everything about breeding and showing. I have recently started to show and have had some good results.

My breeding programme is small at present, but the bonus is that it does allow me time to raise and train the kittens, ensuring that they are fully ready to be integrated  into a loving home.

All the kittens are raised in our home and get plenty of play time with myself and Mike.

I have a real love of cats and read anything about them. It was only recently that while I was looking around for new reading material that I came across an American cat magazine. Contained within I found an article on Toygers. A new breed of cat that I had no knowledge of. I was so fascinated with the look of this cat that I set about researching for further information. I discovered that the development of this feline had started in the late 1980’s by Judy Sugden.   She had a vision to breed a domestic cat which resembles a small tiger, hence the name “Toyger”. Judy and her colleagues in the USA have been working tirelessly for many years towards Judy’s goal.

It so happens that I was at that time looking for another breed of cat to add to my breeding programme.     I was fortunate enough to acquire such a queen, who is now part of not just our breeding programme but our family.

Finally a Big thanks to my brother Tony Hughes for all the photography!!
